The ground rules

Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Nakshatra, run by Preetam Ptwo. The short version: it is a tool for reflection, so use it thoughtfully and look after your own decisions.

Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using Nakshatra you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be 18 or over. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Reflection, not advice

Nakshatra offers AI-assisted interpretation of a calculated Vedic chart. It is for reflection and learning. It does not predict the future, and nothing in it is evidence that an event will happen.

Readings are not medical, legal, financial, relationship or mental-health advice. Do not make decisions about your health, money, work or safety on the strength of a reading. For those, talk to a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a helpline.

How accurate it is

We calculate charts with the Lahiri ayanamsa and whole-sign houses. Other apps and astrologers use other methods and may show different results. Accuracy also depends on the birth details you enter. If your birth time is approximate or unknown, we show only what that allows.

AI answers are checked against your calculated chart before you see them, but a check on the facts does not make an interpretation right, useful or complete. Our learning guides are AI-assisted drafts that a human astrologer has not independently reviewed.

Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep your password to yourself.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.
  • One person per account.

Your details and content

What you enter stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it, including sending it to AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy, only to run the service for you. Only enter another person's birth details if you have good reason to think they would be comfortable with it.

Fair use

Please do not:

  • break the law or use Nakshatra to harass, defraud or harm anyone;
  • scrape the service, or use bots or scripts to send requests;
  • try to get around rate limits or the daily AI allowance, or to probe, overload or break into the service;
  • copy or resell Nakshatra's readings, guides or software as your own service.

Limits on use

To keep the service available to everyone, each account has rate limits and a daily allowance of AI requests. We may change these limits.

Our content

The Nakshatra software, design and learning guides belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own personal use through the service. Your own readings and saved answers are yours to keep and share.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.

No guarantees, and limits on liability

Nakshatra is provided as is and as available. It may change, have errors or be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on a reading. Nothing here limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date on this page, and for significant changes we will tell signed-in users in the app or by email. If you keep using Nakshatra after a change, you accept it.
